Lance Howard

CLU, CFP®
Certified Financial Planner®

Lance focuses on working with clients to make sure they get the best return on life. The best life possible with the money they have. He creates personalized financial plans in addition to doing portfolio design.

Lance is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU).  Lance started his career in the financial services industry in 1989 with London Life. In 1995 he formed The Lance Howard Group. Over the last 30 years he has spoken around Canada and the United States on topics such as compressive financial planning and business succession planning. In 2002 Lance and his business partner Pat Keyes were recognized by the financial planning industry as being the Advisors of the year for Ontario. Their focus on continuing to stay updated and enhance their knowledge was again acknowledged by the financial industry in 2016 and 2017 when The Lance Howard Group was a top 6 finalist across Canada for Wealth Professional Magazine for financial planning practice under 25 employees. London born and raised, Lance attended Oakridge H.S. and Kings College at Western.

In his free time he can be found on the golf course at Highland Golf and Country Club or at the trap range in Watford. His vegetable garden may not produce the best yields but he loves to talk about it. His wife Cathy is instrumental in the running of the Lance Howard Group. They are empty nesters with one daughter doing concurrent masters at University of Toronto. Another daughter works out west in her field of study and their son is in second year at Brock in Sports Management. They have a 90 lbs. boxer named Finn who thinks he is a lap dog.  Finally, he loves driving his convertible in the summer.

Our Consultants

Supporting the communities within which we work

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.

Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.

Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our CSR efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!

We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effect of their efforts are always rewarding.
